The goal of the 4F project is to create a sustainable development showcase. A production garden for local women, their families and others, based on West African natural history and culture.
- Build a safe infrastructure with a wall, water supply and storage facilities
- Reforest with local trees and re-establish the ecosystem of the past
- Plant fruit trees and –shrubs of local and international species
- Establish women’s gardens for vegetable production for local families and markets
- Daily management and development of the site by a cooperation of local women based on the sustainable goals of United Nations and Permaculture design principles
- Use the plot for education of young Gambians and tourists to show a sustainable future adapted to climate change
